Was worried when I saw two recent bad reviews but we didn't run into any issues! The front door was a bit difficult to properly lock but we figured it out. House didn't smell bad so that must have been resolved recently. House was in good condition overall and pretty clean. beds were not super comfortable but not terrible. The outdoor pool area was exactly as pictured. Felt somewhat private despite being right next to other houses. Wish there was some better lighting out there for nighttime though.
Unfortunately our experience was very similar to the most recent review (1 star) which was published just before we arrived. We wish that the review would have been available when we booked the place. Our biggest issue was with the front door lock which did not work at all and the front door could be opened by pressing it gently with a finger. On the day of our check-in the host told us that due to an issue with the lock we would need to use the back door for entrance until they fix it the next day. We agreed but did not realize that the lock was completely broken (did not get fixed) and during our whole stay we could not lock the house. In addition to this, the house was not especially clean and definitely needs some fixing as well. As the previous guest had written there was also a smell of smoke which we told the host about but they did not take actions to fix it. The location of the house is good and with proper cleaning and fixing the listed issues the place could be nice.
We have been going to Fort Lauderdale and staying at a Airbnb for the last 4 years and this was the worst experience ever. The house is very beaten down and smelled of smoke. The front door was unlocked when we arrived as the host had misplaced the key. We received the key on day 4 after opening a Airbnb support case and waiting forever. The pool area is the only nice place in here. There are no attached bathrooms and no dressers in any bedrooms. It’s a very bare minimum basic house. One of the toilets leaked and we had to call maintenance. None of the bathrooms worked properly. The master bath door is broken and doesn’t lock. The beds and linens provided are in horrible condition. The microwave stunk and was not cleaned out. The Airbnb support nor the host were reliable. They kept on buying time and did not call us back. This is the last time we are renting with Airbnb.
